ForeWord Reviews is happy to announce that Danny Hoey, author ofThe Butterfly Lady, has won our Winter 2013 ForeWord Firsts award, which recognizes the best independently published works of debut fiction for each quarter.
They say everybody has at least one book in them. So, one definition of an author could be those who actually write their books and have them published. That’s the hardest part. And only the best can be winnowed down further into a different category—a ForeWord First, chosen every quarter by our panel of editors. Hoey’s work, produced by a publisher with an amazingly dynamic name—Flaming Giblet Press—was chosen among titles published between January and March 2013.
